Things to check
If any issue, go find Meng Poh or Beng Koon from NCS (they alternate week duty)
- ADAM make sure not red
- Network switch not red
- (Fibre) Link not red
- folder of cameras: open folder -> no consecutive cameras red, less than 3 red cameras per folder

Conditions to report (to BCP)
- >2 Cameras down in one zone
- 2 consecutive cameras down e.g. cameras 101 & 102
- Camera at important place e.g. main entrance VAC Camera
Confirm camera down
Odd zone -> 179
Even zone -> 180
ping 192.[179/180].[zone].[camera]
e.g. for zone 6 camera 2
ping 192.180.6.2
if ping successful, camera is not actually down, follow “How to fix camera” below
Logging

4 hourly
check all cameras (pan every camera 360, look for anything suspicious) and record in log excel sheet

bcp will call, need to add to excel sheet
broken cameras
ask pc to do ping then log if ping is unsuccessful
How to fix camera
- Go to management client
- “Recording server” Disable V cameras in server
- If AD1 even number cameras down, disable the even number V cameras in AD2 etc.
- Open “remote” as administrator
- username: maint
- password:
P@$$w0rd
- Connect to the server that is originally down, same password as 3.
- Right click on bottom right corner “xprotect recording server"up
- If the icon has green (started), stop it, wait until icon is red, then start again
- If the icon is red (stopped), just start it
- Wait until all cameras are back up
- Close remote (press the x)
- re-enable V cameras
- Wait for camera video to show before enabling next one
How to fix alarm manager no alarms
if it is currently an mgmt1, switch to mgmt2, vice versa
- If want to change to mgmt1, remote into mgmt2. If want to change to mgmt2, remote into mgmt1
- open failover cluster
- right click, click move, select node, change to mgmt1
- wait until switch over is done
- make sure both tray icons are running before exiting (event server, management server): if not running, then right click and start
to open mgmt 1, open remote desktop, select mgnt-2 and change to mgmt-1
